Project Inspirations Ideas

I had a few different ideas for my project inspiration presentation and these are the ones that did not make the final cut.

Shoes

p.s. I used the third idea (bottom right) as my final project inspiration.

I was browsing through the internet to see whether any of my ideas already existed when I found a shoe that is similar to my first idea.

GPS Shoe

The shoe has LEDs in the toes of the shoes. The LED lights on the left shoe point the wearer to their destination and the right shoe shows the distance.

Social

For these ideas, I designed them with introverts in mind. Some introverts have trouble communicating with other people and some of them want alone time and a personal space for themselves.

About Me

Hi! My name is Jason Yang and I'm studying a Bachelor of Commerce and I.T. Innovation has been a huge passion for me, especially after working for SAP in their Innovation Network Centre team. I am very passionate about innovation, graphic design and collaborating collectively as a team to deliver the best results.

What I Hope to Learn/Achieve in PhysComp

Since this course has been designed for students in their final year, I would love design and showcase at the end of the semester a product in which we can all be proud to show potential employers.

I would love to grow my experience in ideation in particular as this stage is usually the most sophisticated - given various factors.

Furthermore, it is great that this course provides us with an opportunity to build a physical item with no material limitations per se.

I endeavour to achieve a high grade in this course through high work and collectively develop an innovative masterpiece which I am able to proudly showcase in my portfolio at the and of the semester.

Introduction

Hello my fellow DECO3850 blog-mates, my name is Fardeen and I am a 3rd year Bachelors or Information and Technology student. I am majoring in Information Systems and User Experience Design.

I am a hard working and determined student, I work very well in a team, I am guilty of taking charge by default however, if someone else can do the job better than me, I am more than happy to let them take lead.

Expectation

I didn't have any expectations initially, but I did manage to form some expectations after the first week of classes.

An Intro Into Me

Hi there! I'm Piyumi, a final year student studying a Bachelor of Business Management and Information Technology. I am an avid enthusiast of travelling, music, food and design! I've been at uni for a long time now due to not having a clue for a long time about what I wanted to pursue, but having specialised in UX Design, I definitely think I've found something that I'd love to pursue as a career!

Throughout this course I hope to be able to successfully create an innovative project that I'm proud of and that I have challenged myself to complete. I'm excited to learn and be very hands on during the course to achieve this through making use of the amazing facilities that I'm only recently discovering about! Having never really done much construction, I'm a little nervous to dive into something new, but am always up for a challenge!

I'm in my final year of a BInfoTech(UXDes) and BArts(Linguistics) program and I hope to hone my skills in development both with producing something physical and improving my skills with programming/web design. In past projects I've contributed best in the fields of user research and evaluation.

I am pretty organised, which lends to my skills in project management and planning. If I can help it, I schedule my workload so I can avoid doing all-nighters because I love sleep. Nice to meet you all!
